Smoothing the Way for Auckland Teachers

A school we work with has students with special needs, who need to be kept securely inside the buildings. They had an existing access control system and keys, which meant doors had multiple locks and panels on them, and some required two methods to move through.

We made life easier for the staff by upgrading their software and door hardware: they can now move through arterial/external doors with just one tag. Their property manager can manage access credentials for new team members and can also track who’s been coming in and out.

We are proud to have helped the school move to a “tag in, tag out” system and to be helping keep their students safe.

Helping a Hotel Go Keyless

An Auckland hotel wanted to replace their aging locks and keys with a digital solution. After talking with them to understand their needs we installed a digital pinpad lock for each room and to separate public/admin spaces, and added hardwired keypads on the gate. The owner loves now being able to assign a unique code for each guest stay and let tradies in remotely.

Training facility upgrade

A large nationwide religious organisation regularly brings new members and volunteers to Auckland for training. The doors at their training centre and associated accommodation and dining blocks get a lot of use: the locks were wearing out and keys were often accidentally taken home. We upgraded them to a system using easily programmable and replaceable swipe cards. Now visitors and staff can move easily around.

Auckland business association

The office of a business association for a light industrial area in Greater Auckland is only staffed part-time. They needed a way to enable couriers and association members to pop in and out while preventing uninvited visitors from coming in their entrance which is off a busy high street. We installed a smartlock, doorbell and door camera. Now the association manager can issue ongoing and one-time access codes, and if someone rings the doorbell when they aren’t there, can view and speak to the visitor then open the door remotely. We also installed a digital lock on the internal door to their admin area, so that unchaperoned visitors can’t move beyond the waiting area. The association manager loves that visitors are no longer inconvenienced by having to wait for her to get there in person, association
